Meet Stephanie

Stephanie Stavro-Pearce

Stephanie is a registered social worker and trained Collaborative Family Professional. Stephanie is a mental health advocate and specializes in counselling individuals and families. Stephanie’s focus is to facilitate positive change by working with people to understand their own experiences and strengths. Stephanie draws on various therapeutic modalities during her practice such as trauma-informed, narrative, attachment, mindfulness, CBT, zones of regulation and solution-focused based therapies.

For over five years Stephanie has supported clients in various settings such as family mediation, organizations supporting at-risk youth, and schools (public and private). In addition to private practice, Stephanie is an Independent School social worker, providing counselling to youth grades 7 to 12.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph, a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Toronto and Certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution from York University. In previous years, Stephanie has promoted the development of evidence-based practice within the social work field by participating in academic research in association with the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. Stephanie presented research relating to supervised access at the AFCC conference in May 2019.
