Stephanie Stavro-Pearce

Stephanie Stavro-Pearce is a Registered Social Worker and trained Collaborative Family Professional. Stephanie specializes in counselling children, adolescents and families and providing therapeutic services for separating/divorcing couples. For over five years Stephanie has supported children and families in various settings such as family mediation, paediatric healthcare, organizations supporting at-risk youth, and schools (public and private).

In addition to private practice, Stephanie is a part-time Child and Family Therapist at a children’s mental health centre, facilitates educational workshops through Victim Services Toronto, and provides counselling to youth as a school-based social worker.

Stephanie’s focus is to facilitate positive change by using therapeutic modalities such as trauma-informed, attachment, mindfulness, CBT, zones of regulation and solution-focused therapies. Stephanie uses clinical skills that allow the individualized needs of clients to be understood and assessed so that appropriate treatment methods can be effectively applied during therapy.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph, a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Toronto and Certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution from York University. Stephanie promotes the development of evidence-based practice within the social work field by participating in academic research in association with the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work.
